No worries! This song has some problematic lyrics regarding exoticism of people of color (which may be one reason it has stayed pretty scarce), but I love the description in the lyrics. It reminds me of my own trips to other countries- the little details that you notice and the thrill you get when you are someplace totally different. And I also love the brass and the way the song starts to wind down but then pick up again. And the tongue trills.
I love dancing and fun and new experiences, so that’s why I thought of this song for myself. Not a typical Bowie song (and I think Iggy wrote it anyway), but I am quite fond of it. And someday I may even get to Borneo.
